PMI Tasmania Chapter's Nominating Committee is accepting nominations. Acceptance of nominations commences from 1 pm Monday, 30th March 2026, and will close at 5 pm (Tasmania time) on Sunday, 12th April 2026.

The Nominating Committee will review all nominations between Sunday, 5th April and Tuesday, 14th April 2026.

Candidates will be interviewed for suitability between Tuesday, 7th April and Tuesday, 14th April 2026, and a final recommendation will be prepared. Please note that interviews will likely take place outside of business hours.

The membership will be advised of the recommended candidates.

Elections will be held using electronic voting commencing Thursday, 23rd April 2025 and concluding 5 pm Tuesday, 5th May 2026.

Successful candidates will be announced at the AGM on Thursday, 7th May 2026.

Final assignment of ordinary directors’ portfolios will be agreed upon by the incoming board at the first board meeting.
Electioneering
Members are reminded that in accordance with PMI Tasmania Chapter Bylaws & Articles of Association and PMI® policies, practices, procedures, rules and directives, no funds or resources of PMI® or PMI Tasmania may be used to support the election of any candidate or group of candidates. No other type of organised electioneering, communications, fundraising or other organised activity on behalf of a candidate shall be permitted, with the exception of candidate statements and profiles compiled and presented in a consistent format by the Public Officer. To submit a nomination, please complete the PMI Tasmania Chapter Nomination form and send your completed form to the Nominating Committee at agm@pmitas.org

Eligibility Criteria:
All candidates must meet the following criteria:

18 years of age or older.

Entitled to vote at a PMI Tasmania general meeting.

PMI Tasmania Chapter member in good standing (dues paid) at the time of nomination.

A willingness to support others.

An appreciation of the value of the profession served by PMI.
Ordinary Board Member Positions:
Director Positions x 3: 2-year term - 2026 to 2028
There are a range of portfolios which currently include Education, Events, Marketing, Membership, Volunteering and Regional Director. Portfolios will be determined at the first board meeting following the AGM.
Executive Positions:
Vice President: 1-year term - 2026 to 2027
Secretary: 2-year term - 2026 to 2028
Treasurer: 2-year term - 2026 to 2028
Call for Nominations
PMI Tasmania Chapter Inc. is proud to call for nominations from members interested in joining our Board of Directors. We are seeking candidates with an interest in contributing to our programs and activities and furthering the success and growth of the Chapter.
In accordance with the Bylaws and Articles of Association, an election will be held ahead of the Annual General meeting on Thursday, 7th May 2026.
We are seeking candidates for three Executive Positions and three Ordinary Director positions on our Board:

Board of Directors Election: Call for Nominations
Ordinary Board member portfolios currently include Membership, Education, Events, Marketing, N/NW Region, Membership, and Social Impact & Sustainability. Portfolios are adjusted from time to time to align with strategic and operational priorities. Portfolios of incoming Ordinary Board Members will be confirmed at the first board meeting following the AGM. The Vice President will be expected to take up a non-executive portfolio, in addition to their executive responsibilities.
The PMI Tasmania Board is a working board. Board members are expected to plan and deliver services and activities associated with their roles and portfolios, attend events, and provide leadership to volunteers who support various activities.
Two associate positions on the Board are becoming vacant. Individuals elected to fill Associate positions will be assigned a portfolio following the elections. The following role descriptions outline the roles and responsibilities of each of the associate portfolio positions on the board.
