Election timeline

  1. PMI Tasmania Chapter's Nominating Committee is accepting nominations. Acceptance of nominations commence from 1pm Wednesday 30 April, 2025 and will close at 5 pm (Tasmania time) on Wednesday 14th May 2025.

  2. The Nominating Committee will review all nominations between Thursday 15th May – Wednesday 21st  May 2025.

  3. Candidates will be interviewed for suitability between Friday 16th May to Wednesday 21st May and a final recommendation prepared. Please note, interviews will likely take place outside of business hours.

  4. The membership will be advised of the recommended candidates.

  5. If there are more candidates than positions available, elections will be held using electronic voting commencing Wednesday 21st May and concluding 5PM Wednesday 4th June, 2025.

  6. Successful candidates will be announced at the AGM.

  7. Final assignment of portfolios will be agreed by the incoming board at the first board meeting.

 

Electioneering

Members are reminded that in accordance with PMI Tasmania Chapter Bylaws & Articles of Association and PMI® policies, practices, procedures, rules and directives, no funds or resources of PMI® or PMI Tasmania may be used to support the election of any candidate or group of candidates.  No other type of organised electioneering, communications, fundraising or other organised activity on behalf of a candidate shall be permitted, with the exception of candidate statements and profiles compiled and presented in a consistent format by the Public Officer.  Further information can be found in the PMI Tasmania Chapter Bylaws & Articles of Association.

To submit a nomination, please complete the PMI Tasmania Chapter Nomination form and send your completed form to the Nominating Committee at agm@pmitas.org

Nominating Committee

A Nominating Committee has been appointed in accordance with the Chapter Bylaws and Articles of Association and comprises the following volunteers:

  • Cath Watson (Chair) (PMI Tasmania Chapter)

  • Natalya Townson (PMI Western Australia Immediate Past President)

  • Annesha Ahmed (PMI Bangladesh Immediate Past President)

Criteria for Nomination:

To nominate for a Board position, all interested candidates must, at the time of their nomination, be:

  1.  18 years of age or older

  2.  a resident of Tasmania

  3.  a member in good standing (dues paid) of PMI Tasmania Chapter.

2 x Director (Non-Executive / Associate) Positions: 

There are a range of portfolios which currently include Education, Events, Marketing, Membership, Volunteering and Regional Director. Portfolios will be determined at the first board meeting following the AGM.

Executive Positions:

          President - 2-year term - 2025 to 2027

          Vice-President - 2-year term - 2025 to 2027

          Treasurer - 2-year term - 2025 to 2027

PMI Tasmania Chapter seeks members with an interest in managing the future of the Chapter to join its Board of Directors. We are seeking Candidates for three Executive Positions and two open Director positions for the 2025 to 2027 term.
