In this session, you’ll learn why stakeholders are important for project success and how to effectively analyse and map stakeholders using the Power-Interest Grid (Mendelow's Matrix) to assess their level of influence and interest. We’ll discuss strategies to prioritise engagement, manage expectations, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, setting your project up for success. Whether you're managing a project, leading a team, or driving change, this session will equip you with practical tools to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
Our Presenter
Karen Engen
Karen is an experienced Senior Project and Change Manager with an extensive corporate background across Local Government, Tertiary Education, State Government, Federal Government, and the private sector. Karen has experience in managing complex business transformation projects with a keen interest in innovative technology initiatives, coaching, leadership development, and promoting diversity and inclusion. An engaging facilitator, Karen teaches the Cert IV and Diploma of Project Management through Swinburne University, along with other public programs. Her courses include Mastering Change Leadership, Steering Projects in an Agile World, Navigating and Embracing Change, Change for Projects, Business Analysis, and Introduction to Project Management.
