About the event

🌟 PMI Tasmania – PMO Roundtable Breakfast 🌟

The Modern PMO: Delivering Value, Sharing Challenges and Building Connections

What does it take for a Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver real value in today's organisations?

PMOs across Tasmania are being asked to do more than ever: deliver strategy, demonstrate value, and support organisational change, often with limited resources. But how are PMO professionals responding to these expectations, and what can we learn from one another?

Join PMI Tasmania for an interactive breakfast roundtable featuring Mike Roberts, Director and Training Practice Lead at Millpond, and an experienced project management practitioner, leadership facilitator, and speaker with more than 20 years of experience.

Mike has worked with organisations across Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Asia-Pacific region, helping them strengthen project delivery, governance, leadership, and organisational performance. He is also an active contributor to the global PMI community, engaging with emerging trends in project delivery and organisational change.

The session will begin with insights into PMI's latest thinking on the evolving role of PMOs, including the PMO Practice Guide and Value Ring Framework.

From there, we'll move into facilitated roundtable discussions, bringing together PMO leaders and practitioners to share experiences, explore common challenges, and exchange ideas about what works in practice.

✨ What you'll explore:

●         The evolving role of PMOs: Understand PMI's latest thinking and how PMOs can demonstrate value to their organisations.

●         Challenges facing Tasmanian PMOs: Discuss common obstacles, opportunities, and approaches to improving PMO effectiveness.

●         Learning from peers: Exchange practical ideas and experiences with professionals facing similar challenges.

●         Building a stronger PMO community: Explore the opportunity to establish a Tasmanian PMO leadership network and help shape future PMI Tasmania events.

More than just a breakfast discussion, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of Tasmania's PMO community.

Your ideas and experiences will help identify the topics, activities, and connections that matter most to local PMO professionals.

Whether you're a PMO leader, PMO practitioner, or someone working closely with PMOs, this session offers an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, build professional relationships, and contribute to a stronger local network.
