PMI Melbourne Chapter AGM & Presentation: "Frameworks for Creative, Collaborative and Compelling Project Design"

PMI Melbourne Chapter would like to invite you to attend their Annual General Meeting. During the meeting, they will discuss highlights and achievements over the past year, and share next steps and future developments planned for their chapter for the year ahead.

After AGM they will also spotlight a special event: Frameworks for Creative, Collaborative and Compelling Project Design with Dr Ariel Achtman, Senior Project Manager - Strategy and Impact at Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Blended project and change management approaches are on the rise with the shift to hybrid working, technological advances and a challenging economic environment. This leads to design-intensive projects whose success depends on creative, collaborative teams and a strong alignment with organisational strategy. This session will share useful frameworks derived from human-centred design, group facilitation and the social innovation space that can support these projects.

The topics covered in this session include

• Facilitation microskills that promote a positive team culture
• Obstacles to accessing your full team’s wisdom
• Tools for fast and furious brainstorming
• Building next and end user impact into projects.

The speaker, Dr Ariel Achtman, is a strategy and project manager in the non-profit sector and a newly elected Board Director of the PMI Melbourne Chapter. She brings the analytical approach of a former scientist with the people-centred focus of a groupwork-trained facilitator to business transformation and global collaborations.  Ariel is passionate about the role of human-centred design and collective impact frameworks in driving project success.
